FEBRUARY
2010

My dear friends,

It's now official. All that we've been hearing is true...a summary judgment in favor of TEC has been handed down. Translation....the judge agreed with the claim of The Episcopal Church that the property on Los Robles does, in fact, belong to TEC and the Diocese of the Rio Grande.

Now, how this moves forward isn't certain at this time. The Anglican congregation has 30 days to appeal the judgment. So, we continue to wait...but as we wait...we pray...and as we pray we include in our prayers those members of the St. Francis Anglican congregation who must be struggling with their own disappointment, and in light of the judge's decision, how they should move forward.

I encourage everyone to follow updated news on our diocesan web site: dioceserg.org for the press release as well as follow-up historic data which will be posted later today and in the days to come.

I commend each one of you for your patience through this legal 'maze'...your faithfulness over these past months...and your willingness to "stay the course" in the journey that's been set before us. As I know more...I'll certainly forward it to you.

Remember...we have an abbreviated service this Sunday {2/14}...shorthand for a very brief sermon...and then our annual meeting. I pray that everyone can join us as we continue to clarify our current situation and vision together for our future.

God's Blessings on One and All,

Faithfully,

Kathy+
